Specific position in the state organisation of the Ottoman Empire. The position sometimes, based on the personality of the grand vizier, most powerful position in the Ottoman Empire. Köprülü family is very charisted among Ottoman historians. Köprülü Fazıl Mustafa Pasha effectively ruled the Ottoman state over couple sultans.

Grand Vizier’s power extends administering the empire to conducting of its Armies.
