Greasbrough is a township forming part of the Metropolitan Borough of Rotherham, South Yorkshire, but in the historic West Riding of Yorkshire, United Kingdom.

Greasbrough township has 2,038 inhabitants and 2,270 acres of land belonging to Earl FitzWilliam.[link] It is located two miles north of Rotherham and includes the neighbouring hamlets of Bassinthwaite, Ginhouse, Cinder Bridge, Nether Haugh, and part of Parkgate.[link]

Greasbrough has a gothic-style church called St. Mary, which was completed in 1828. A school is attached to the church. There are also Wesleyan and Independent chapels, also with attached schools.[link]
