The Jacksonville, Florida, Metropolitan Statistical Area, known colloquially as the Greater Jacksonville Metropolitan, consists of Duval County (Jacksonville and the "independent" cities of Jacksonville Beach, Atlantic Beach, Baldwin and Neptune Beach), Clay County, St. Johns County, Nassau County and Baker County. The total estimated population is over 1.2 million residents[link] (2004 US Census estimate).
