Greatest Hits 1970-1978 is a compilation Album from Black Sabbath, released in 2006. It was a somewhat controversial release, as some fans claimed it was just a ploy by Sharon Osbourne to make more money off of her husband Ozzy's success. (This was not necessarily a major problem for casual fans, who do not feel compelled to buy every Ozzy album which comes out— and who in many cases might even be unaware of the existence of multiple compilation discs with similar contents. Those appear to be the fans this collection, which contained no new material, was aimed at. However, the release was grossly unfair to the more serious fans who were forced against their will to buy this CD to maintain the completeness of their collections.) Fans also generally disliked the cover art and the fact that the song "Iron Man" was shortened.
