Greensboro College is a four year, independent, coeducational institution located in Greensboro, North Carolina and affiliated with the United Methodist Church. It was founded in 1838. The College enrolls nearly 1,200 students from approximately 30 states and more than 20 foreign countries. The average class size is 16 and the student faculty ratio is 12 to one.

Greensboro College Theatre Department

A notable aspect of Greensboro College is the award winning Greensboro College Theatre Department. The theatre department offers undergraduate degrees in five emphaisiees including Stage Design and Technical Theatre, Costumes, Acting in the Theatre, K-12 Theatre Education Licensure, and Management & Dircting which encompasses Directing for the Stage, Stage Management, and Theatre Management.

The theatre department produces several shows each year. Recent productions include: A Midsummer Night's Dream, Dearly Departed, The Spitfire Grill, To Kill A Mocking Bird, Picnic, The Music Man, and Big Love.
