Grobiņa is a town in western Latvia. During the Viking Age, Grobiņa was a centre of Scandinavian settlement on the Baltic Sea. At least 3,000 burial mounds are scattered among three cemeteries, with grave goods of central Swedish and Gotlandic type. See alsoList of cities in Latvia
