Guizhou University

Guizhou University (abbreviation: Gui Da; Chinese: 贵州大学; Pinyin: Guizhou Daxue) is a state university, located in Guiyang, capital of Guizhou province, China.
History
The predecessor, Guizhou Institute of Higher Learning, was founded in 1902. Later, it was turned into Provincial Guizhou University, National Guizhou College of Agriculture and Engineering, and National Guizhou University.In 1997, Guizhou University was merged with Guizhou Agricultural College, Guizhou Institute of Arts, and Guizhou Agricultural Cadre-Training School.
In 2004, Guizhou University was merged again and formed the current Guizhou University with Guizhou University of Technology.

Size
Guizhou University has nine campuses in different parts in Guiyang. The administrative center is located in the Northern Campus on the Huaxi River.External links
