There are several African languages called Gula:
Three closely related Bua languages in southern Chad:
- Gula Iro language or Kulaal (3,500 speakers in 1991), around Lake Iro.
- Zan Gula language (4,000 speakers in 1997), around Zan.
- Bon Gula language (>1,200 speakers in 1997), in the villages of Bon and Ibir.
- Sara Gula language in Chad.
- Tar Gula language in the Central African Republic and Sudan.
- Gola language in Liberia
