Gulf of Anadyr

The Gulf of Anadyr, (Анадырь in Russian), is a gulf in the extreme northeast of Siberia, Russia, sometimes known as Anadyr Bay.
Location
It is in the northwestern part of the Bering Sea and extends from Cape Chukchi on the north to Cape Navarin in the south, forming part of the Bering Sea. Its gulf is about 250 miles across (400 kilometers). It extends into two other bodies of water, the Bay of Krest and the Anadyr River. The Gulf of Adnyr is sometimes covered in ice, normally 10 months a year.Civilization
Its port is the port of Anadyr. The city of Anadyr is the capitol of Chukotka Autonomous Area.
