H. A . Berlin is an American neuroscientist focusing on brain-behavior relationships affecting the prevention and treatment of psychiatric disorders.
Background
Berlin received a D.Phil. in neuropsychology from University of Oxford and a M.P.H. in psychiatric epidemiology and heath care management/policy from Harvard University. Berlin earned an M.A in psychology from the New School and a B.S. from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Berlin was a National Institute of Mental Health Postdoctoral Fellow in psychiatry at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City, working on compulsive, impulsive, personality, and anxiety disorders.Awards
Berlin recently received a Young Investigator Award from the American Neuropsychiatric Association and the National Education Alliance for Borderline Personality Disorder for research implicating orbitofrontal cortex dysfunction in patients with borderline personality disorder.Career
