The Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company Limited (香港飛機工程有限公司), better known as HAECO (香港飛機工程), NASDAQ: [HKAEY]
The company has a 20-year franchise with the Airport Authority at the Hong Kong International Airport.
HAECO is also a holding company in many aircraft engineering and related companies in various countries, including mainland China (Shandong, Xiamen) and Singapore. HAECO has, over the years, expanded beyond the boundaries of Hong Kong SAR into Mainland China with Taikoo (Xiamen) Aircraft Engineering Co. Ltd. (TAECO) at Xiamen, Fujian and Shandong TAECO Aircraft Engineering Co. Ltd. (STAECO) at Shandong besides establishing joint ventures with key major Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in pursuit of providing "Total Care" services to its customers.
The Swire Group, together with Cathay Pacific Airways, hold major interests in HAECO and provides management support.
HAECO is also owning 45% share of the Hong Kong Aero Engine Services Limited (HAESL), a joint venture with Rolls-Royce and SIA Engineering of Singapore, providing overhaul service of Rolls-Royce RB211-524 series, -535, Trent 500 series, 700 series and 800 series aircraft engines.
