HMS Dunkirk

Four vessels of the British Royal Navy have been named HMS Dunkirk, after the Channel seaport of Dunkirk, France, site of the evacuation of 1940.
- The first Dunkirk was a 2-gun ketch captured from the French in 1656, and sold 1660.
- The second Dunkirk was a 48-gun fourth-rate, originally the Worcester, renamed 1660, rebuilt in 1704 and 1734, and broken up in 1749.
- The third Dunkirk was a 60-gun fourth-rate, launched 1754, on harbour service from 1778, and sold 1792.
- The fourth Dunkirk was a destroyer launched in 1945 and broken up 1965.
