HMS Ganges

Two ships of the British Royal Navy have been named HMS Ganges after the river Ganges in India.

From 1906 to 1925, the name was held by various ships - the former HMS Caroline, HMS Minotaur, HMS Agincourt, and various steam launches - operating as part of the Navy training depot at RNTE Shotley, near Ipswich.

From 1927 to 1976 a Royal Navy training depot, the former RNTE Shotley, was named HMS Ganges.
