Four major and three minor ships of the British Royal Navy have been named HMS Magnificent.

• The first Magnificent was a 74-gun third-rate ship of the line built in 1766 and wrecked in 1810.
• The second Magnificent was a 74-gun third-rate ship of the line built in 1806 and broken up in 1866.
• The third Magnificent was an early battleship built in 1894 and sold in 1921.
• There were three more minor ships called Magnificent during the period 1921-1944.
• The seventh Magnificent was an aircraft carrier built in 1944.

Battle Honours

The ships named HMS Magnificent received four battle honours for their war service.

• Grenada 1779
• Off Martinique 1780
• The Saintes 1782
• Dardanelles 1915
