HMS Sparrowhawk

Six ships of the Royal Navy have been named HMS Sparrowhawk after the bird of prey:
- The first Sparrowhawk, launched in 1807, was a brig-sloop of 18 guns of the Cruizer class, sold in 1841.
- The second Sparrowhawk, launched in 1856, was a wooden screw gunboat, sold in 1872.
- The third Sparrowhawk, purchased in 1877, was a survey schooner originally named Lark, sold in 1889.
- The fourth Sparrowhawk, launched in 1895, was a Quail-class destroyer, wrecked in 1904.
- The fifth Sparrowhawk, launched in 1912, was an Acasta-class destroyer. She served in World War I and was sunk at the battle of Jutland on 1 June 1916 after colliding with HMS Broke.
- The sixth Sparrowhawk, launched in 1918, was an S-class destroyer. She was scrapped in 1931.
