HMS Zinnia (K98)

HMS Zinnia (K98) was a Flower-class corvette of the Royal Navy. She was built at Smiths Dock, South Bank-on-Tees, UK, launched on 28 November, 1940 and commissioned on 30 March, 1941.
In World War II she protected convoys in the North Atlantic as part of the Second Battle of the Atlantic. On 23 August, 1941 while escorting convoy OG-71 she was hit by a torpedo from U-564, exploded and sank west of Portugal at 40° 25′ N, 10° 40′ W.
