The officejet 6110 is a midrange All-In-One imaging device manufactured by Hewlett Packard. It is a fax, copier, color scanner, plus printer, all bundled into one device.
Features
Starting from the top compartment, the officejet 6110 features a flatbed scanner with an automatic document feeder tray above it. To scan, users can either
- feed unstapled, same-sized paper into the automatic document feeder to have the scanner process each paper, one-by-one, or
- open the whole top compartment to scan documents, books, or other odd-shaped literature that naturally would not be accepted by the automatic document feeder.
The officejet 6110 is also a black and color inkjet printer where it can achieve speeds of 19 pages per minute for black and white, as well as 15 pages per minute for color documents. It can also achieve an image resolution of up to 1200 by 1200 dpi. It accepts a range of printer paper sizes commonly used in the office as well as envelopes and photo-sized cards.
The printer does have the ability to print on both sides of a page, however, an optional duplexer (available as a separate purchase) have to be attached to the back of the printer.
It has fax functionality with a number pad for dialing out, as well as speed-dial functions.
Its copy functions come with user-definable settings via its front panel, allowing the user to change the paper size, type, plus any other special features that the user might utilize.
Connectivity
The officejet 6110 sports a USB port for computer connectivity.
With a USB connection to the computer, the officejet 6110 can function alongside a computer for the purpose of printing, faxing, copying and scanning (to the computer's hard drive or other related storage equipment)
It can also function as a standalone faxing and copying product without the presence of a computer.
Supplies
The officejet 6110 uses three different ink cartridges. However, it can hold two at a time, so one is forced to "swap out" the black if he/she needs to use the photo cartridge and vice-versa.
Black cartridge
The 56 black cartridge has a 19 mL ink volume. This cartridge is standard among many current hp printers, and is widely available.Color cartridge
The 57 color cartridge has a 17 mL ink volume. It is designed to work in many current printers, and offers stunning photo quality when used with the optional photo ink cartridge and HP photo paper.Photo cartridge
The 58 photo cartridge also has a 17 mL ink volume. Prints made using the color and photo cartridges have been tested to last for more than 65 years using accelerated lighting tests. The photo cartridge contains light cyan, light magenta and light black inks. It also comes with a print cartridge protector, which keeps the cartridge not installed in the printer from drying out.
