HSBC Trinkaus & Burkhardt KGaA was founded in 1785 and is one of the longest-established members of the HSBC Group. HSBC Trinkaus & Burkhardt has operations in private, commercial and investment banking and asset management.
The bank is managed by five general partners under an unusual German partnership arrangement. On 29 November 2005 the partners voted to convert the bank to AG or limited company status

In addition to its head office in Düsseldorf, it has branches in Baden-Baden, Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Munich and Stuttgart, a Luxemburg subsidiary with a Representative Office in Hong Kong SAR, and a corporate desk in Shanghai.HSBC Trinkaus and Burkhardt is part of the European structure within the HSBC Group and therefore reports to HSBC Bank plc.
