Habanero, formed in 2003, is a musical mix of acoustic medleys and hardcore gangsta rap. Based out of Ottawa and lead by Shakes MacCool (aka Craig Medaglia), Habanero has had several releases over the past 2 and a half years which were accompanied by months of touring across Canada.

The band has received some negative attention from newspaper Nepean This Week for their glamourization of suburban violence and gunplay.
