Hamamelidales

Hamamelidales is the botanical name of an order of flowering plants. This name was used in the Cronquist system, in the 1981 version of this system the order (placed in subclass Hamamelidae) has the :

: family ''Eupteleaceae
: family Platanaceae
: family Myrothamnaceae

In the APG II system (2003) the taxa involved are mostly assigned to the order Saxifragales, but some are placed elsewhere. Quite notable is the placement of Platanus in Proteales.
