(1565–1593) was an elite officer under the Date clan.

At a very young age Munetoki was put in charge of an army. He contributed much to the clan, increasing its prestige. Munetoki always carred around his trademark golden sword, which measured 2.7 metres. He died at the age of twenty-nine. Date Masamune was so struck by his death that he composed a song for him.
