Hauenstein

Hauenstein is a village and a municipality in the Südwestpfalz district, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is situated in the Pfälzer Wald, approx. 20 km east of Pirmasens, and 20 km west of Landau.
Hauenstein is also the seat of the Verbandsgemeinde ("collective municipality") Hauenstein, which consists of the following Ortsgemeinden ("local municipalities"):
- Darstein
- Dimbach
- Hauenstein
- Hinterweidenthal
- Lug
- Schwanheim
- Spirkelbach
- Wilgartswiesen
