Encyclopedia : H : HA : HAY : Haymarket railway station
Haymarket railway station is in Haymarket, Edinburgh, Scotland. It is Edinburgh's second largest station after Waverley; trains from the station serve much of Scotland west of Edinburgh (including Fife and Glasgow), as well as the west coast of England.
The station was the original terminus for trains from Glasgow, before the construction of what is now Waverley station. The station today has four through platforms, although a new bay platform is currently under construction on the north side of the station. Murrayfield Stadium is next to the station. Haymarket TMD is to the east of the station.
