The Health Sciences Institute (or HSI) is a conglomerate of alternative medicine professionals directed by Jenny Thompson. They send out free e-newsletters to health-concerned people interested in alternative medical approaches, and also have a forum. They indirectly market a variety of products, and serve as a platform for making claims about and advertising alternative medicinal products without directly selling them to avoid Food and Drug Administration (FDA) prosecution. They espouse claims similar to Kevin Trudeau, that the cures to most diseases already exist and are being suppressed by a totalitarian government, corrupt medical doctors and greedy pharmeceutical companies. Like Trudeau, they provide no sound evidence for this.
