Heartagram

The heartagram is a trademarked symbol of the Finnish rock band HIM. It is the fusion of a heart symbol and a pentagram.
According to HIM front man, Ville Valo, the heartagram represents both love and death, common themes in Valo's lyrics. The pentagram itself has no implicit relation to hate, death, or negativity but is the symbol of Venus or 'Lucifer', the bringer of knowledge and illumination. TV star and hardcore HIM fan Bam Margera has paid HIM a fee to license the symbol and is accordingly entitled to use it for promotional purposes.
It is wrongly believed by some people that the heartagram is associated with satanism, but Ville Valo denies these claims.[[Citing sources citation needed]]
