Hector Ramirez is a fictional character in the CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. Hector is played by actor Lorenzo Lamas.
Character
The character of Hector was introduced in 2004, when his daughter Caitlin (Kayla Ewell) was employed as an intern at Forrester Creations. It was revealed that Hector had previously been romantically involved with fashion designer Samantha Kelly (Sydney Penny), who was Caitlin's mother. After Caitlin's birth, Samantha's mother Priscilla (Linda Gray) had lied to both her daughter and Hector, telling Samantha that the child was stillborn and Hector that Samantha wanted nothing to do with the child. Priscilla eventually revealed all and Hector and Samantha reunited, after breaking the news to Caitlin that Samantha was her mother. (Hector had told Caitlin that her mother had died in childbirth, rather than what he believed to be the truth, that her mother had abandoned the child.) Hector and Sam became engaged but soon separated after an argument about Priscilla. Samantha moved to New York and Caitlin soon joined her there. Hector then set his sights on Dr. Taylor Hayes Forrester (Hunter Tylo), who was then married to Ridge Forrester (Ronn Moss). The two began a flirtation, but Taylor never gave in to Hector. However, Taylor's marriage to Ridge eventually ended, when Ridge realized that he still wanted to be with his former love Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang). Hector is still continuing to woo Taylor.Hector also has an adopted son, Jimmy Ramirez (Chris Warren Jr.)
