Hela Yungst

Hela Yungst was raised in Hillside by her parents who were Holocaust survivors. She was graduated from Hillside High School in 1967. She was a member of the National Honor Society and was awarded the title of Miss New Jersey, representing the state in the Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City. She later changed her name to Hela Young and became the New Jersey Lotto representative on television, picking the nightly winning numbers. She resided with her husband and children in Mountainside, and is now deceased.
