Helbert Frederico Carreiro da Silva, usually known as Fred (born 18 August 1979), is a football (soccer) player from Brazil. Formerly from Brazilian clubs América-MG, Guarani and Tupi FC, Fred has recently been signed by Melbourne Victory to compete in the second season of the Australian A-League as a striker.
