Henrietta the coach

Henrietta the coach is a fictional character in The Railway Series by the Rev. W. Awdry.

Henrietta is Toby's faithful coach. She goes everywhere with him, and wouldn't want to be with anyone else. She worked with Toby on the Wisbech and Upwell Tramway, but got fewer and fewer passengers. She didn't like this at all. When the line closed down the station master wanted to use her as a henhouse, and Toby couldn't allow that, so when the Fat Controller invited Toby to stay, he took Henrietta too. Henrietta now has more passengers, and is very happy in the Island.

Henrietta was one of 4 coaches built for the tramway, and one of her sisters (who has bogies) has recently been found and saved, and now is in a museum.

Henrietta is also one of only few Thomas characters who doesn't have a face, but Toby always seems to know how she feels.
