Henry Percy, 8th Earl of Northumberland (1532 - 1585) Henry was the son of Thomas Percy and Eleanor Harbottle. He was brother of the 7th Earl. He was an English Protestant although his family was predominantly Roman Catholic. He died however for their cause.
Henry Percy served both Mary I and Elizabeth I in many capacities. While his brother was a leading agent in the northern rebellion Henry was on the royal side, vigorously attacking the rebels.
He ended up dying at the Tower of London on June 21, 1585.
