Hernán Siles Zuazo

Hernán Siles Zuazo (1914-1996) was a politician from Bolivia. Along with Víctor Paz Estenssoro, he founded the Revolutionary Nationalist Movement. They led a revolution in 1952, and Siles served as provisional president of Bolivia from April 11, 1952 until April 16 1952, when Paz became President. Siles was President from 1956 until 1960. He was not allowed to run for another consecutive term.
Siles left his party to form the Revolutionary Left Movement. He served as President again from 1982 until 1985. His party still exists, but was never again able to elect one of its members as President.
