Encyclopedia : H : HE : HER : Hershey Centre
The Hershey Centre located in Mississauga, Ontario, is the home arena of the OHL team Mississauga IceDogs. The Hershey Centre will likely be the home arena for the American Basketball Association expansion franchise, the Mississauga Red Wolves. It has also been the venue for several notable musical acts, including the The Tragically Hip, Green Day, Hatebreed, as well as the only Canadian stop of the New Jack Swing tour.
First opened in 1998, the Hershey Centre is located on Rose Cherry Place, named after the late wife of Don Cherry, founder and owner of the Ice Dogs.
Starting in the 2007-08 OHL season, the Hershey Centre will be home to the Toronto St. Michael's Majors. [link]
