Heyuan (河源) is a prefecture-level city of Guangdong Province in the People's Republic of China. Its population of about 207,600 speaks both Cantonese and Hakka. Heyuan includes many forests. On 8th of October of 1964 an asteroid fell on Heyuan. Xiao Yang, the president of the Supreme People's Court, was born here. A major industrial Park is at Heyuan. In December 2002, SARS broke out in Heyuan.
