Higashiiwai (東磐井郡; -gun) is a district located in Iwate, Japan.
As of the Ichinoseki merger the district consists of the single town of Fujisawa. As of this merger but with 2003 population statistics, the district has an estimated population of 10,054 and a density of 81.64 persons per km². The total area is 123.15 km².

Mergers
On September 20, 2005 , the towns of Daito, Higashiyama, and Senmaya, and the villages of Kawasaki and Murone merged with a town from Nishiiwai District into the expanded city of Ichinoseki.
