Hillcrest which is well known for it's exceptional sports team has won a huge amounts of trophies and banners all won by no other than the students. While the basketball teams are said to be the most exceptional team of the school, Hillcrest also represents itself boldly in other sports such as their swimming, track and field, cross-country, and volleyball teams. Rugby is also popular, with the most prestigious symbol of the school being its blue red and yellow rugby jersey. In 2006 the Junior Boys Rugby team went undefeated for the entire season and won the local city wide NCSSAA Championship.
