Himalaya Kingdom

Puranas mention about a mountainous country in Himalayas with the name Himalaya. Himavan was probably its ruler and Parvati the wife of lord Siva was probably a princess from this kingdom. The kingdom of Parvata could be a saparate kingdom or a part of the Himalaya kingdom. Parvatas took part in the Kurukshetra War.
