Hirakata (枚方市; -shi) is a city located in Osaka, Japan.
As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 404,884 and the density of 6,222.28 persons per km². The total area is 65.07 km². It is the home of Hirakata Park—an amusement park featuring five roller coasters. The city was founded on August 1, 1947.
