Hitomi Yoshizawa

, born April 12, 1985 in Saitama Prefecture, Japan, is the current leader of the J-pop group Morning Musume. This 4th generation member is known as Yossi or Yocchan to her friends. After Rika Ishikawa graduated in May 2005, Yoshizawa became the last remaining member of her generation. She also is the member in the current lineup who has been in the group for the longest amount of time.
In the past, she has been perceived as the tomboyish member of the group, with her voice, manners and hobbies. Her first lead in a song was for the single Mr.Moonlight ~Ai no BIG BAND~, where she played a dashing playboy character. This only added to the buzz around her masculine side. Since then, many think she has matured out of her tomboyish character and is leading Morning Musume quite admirably.
