Hitoshi Ashinano

Hitoshi Ashinano (芦奈野ひとし Ashinano Hitoshi) is the pen name of the author of a variety of manga. He is most noted for Yokohama Kaidashi Kikō (ヨコハマ買い出し紀行), a series which ran for almost twelve years in Kodansha's monthly anthology Afternoon. He also wrote and drew PositioN which ran in the now defunct Afternoon quarterly special edition. He has also been known to create dōjinshi under the name "suke".

It has been announced by Afternoon than Ashinano will be introducing a new manga series in May 2006.
