"Home of the Blues" is a Johnny Cash song about his unhappy childhood. It was recorded after "I Walk the Line" on July 1, 1957 in Memphis, Tenessee. Cash . The song was written by Johnny Cash, and Dougas L. McAlphin and produced by Jack Clement, who later wrote "Cocaine Blues", which Johnny Cash played at Folsom Prison, a performance that was recorded live.
"Home of the Blues" was redone by Joaquin Phoenix as a part of the 2005 film, Walk the Line.
