"Homer Alone" is the fifteenth episode of The Simpsons
Synopsis
Marge decides she needs a vacation, after all the stress at home. She leaves for a place called "Rancho Relaxo", putting Bart and Lisa into the care of Patty and Selma. Maggie stays home with Homer, who realizes how much he needs Marge to take care of things. He goes to see how the kids are getting on at Marge's sisters, and they're desperate to get away, after they are put into slavery by the sisters. Maggie goes looking for Marge after seeing how upset everyone is, including herself, and goes missing. A search breaks out and Maggie is found eventually, as Marge returns home.Quotes
- Lisa: Mom, Bart's making faces at me.
Bart: It's a nervous twitch, and I'm a little sensitive about it, if you don't mind.
- When Marge refuses to leave her car, and Homer is watching an interviewer approach her car:
Homer: Hey sweetheart! What's a matter? Not getting enough of the good stuff at home?
The car window rolls down, to reveal Marge at the window.
Homer: D'oh!

Wiggum: Try to talk her out of there. (Hands Homer a megaphone.) But don't put your lips on it or anything.

- Just as Homer puts Maggie to bed, all the lights appear on in the house.
- This is the 50th episode of the show.
- The title is based on The Shining time station title Schemer alone and the movie Home alone.
- The song that plays while Homer is on hold on the missing child hotline is "Baby Come Back" by Player.
Goofs
- When Maggie starts down the street at night, there are no street lights on.
- At several points in the episode, Marge turns the steering wheel of her car one way, but the wheels turn the other way.
