Horace Wilson (February 10, 1843 - March 4, 1927) was an American professor of English at Tokyo University (then named Kaisei Gakko) during the modernization of Japan after the Meiji Restoration. His most well-known accomplishment was bringing baseball to Japan; the date is variously given as 1872 or 1873. He was elected to membership in the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame by the special committee in 2003(interim new century category).
