In a symphony orchestra the horn section is the group of musicians who play the horn (sometimes referred to as the French horn).

In other musical groups, the horn section refers to a group of wind instruments — sometimes dubbed "horns" — which are arranged to provide an enhanced accompaniment to a song or musical group. Many musical genres feature horn sections, but jazz, R&B, funk, ska, soul music and gospel music are perhaps best-known for featuring such sections. Most of these horn sections feature some combination of saxophones, trumpets and trombones, with other instruments (such as flute, French Horn, clarinet or tuba) sometimes utilized.
