Hornitos is a beautiful long beach located 25 km. north of Mejillones and 90 km. north of Antofagasta, in Second Region, Chile. Hornitos is part of Mejillones Comuna (spanish for district) but its residents are mainly Antofagasta inhabitants. Near 300 houses conform the town, but almost none of them are inhabited during winter. Hornitos is only a beach town and has no permanent inhabitants.
