Houdain

Houdain is a commune and the chief town of a canton in the Pas-de-Calais département, arrondissement of Béthune, in the north of France.
It belongs to the Communauté d'agglomération de l'Artois which gathers 58 communes, and has a total population of approximately 200,000.

Population (1999): 7,832 inhabitants for the commune and 20,168 inhabitants for the canton.
