Huub Stevens

Hubertus ("Huub") Jozef Margaretha Stevens (born November 29, 1953 in Sittard) is a Dutch football manager and former defender, who played for Fortuna Sittard and PSV Eindhoven.

Stevens began his coaching career in 1993 with Roda JC from Kerkrade. From October 1996 to June 2002 Stevens trained German team Schalke 04, who won the UEFA Cup in 1997 and the DFB-Pokal in 2001 and 2002. After Schalke 04 he trained Hertha BSC Berlin, but he was sacked on December 4, 2003 because of lack of success. Thereafter he went to 1. FC Köln, whom he coached from June 14, 2004 to May 22, 2005. In May 2005 Stevens returned to the Netherlands and Roda JC.
