Hyaena (album)

Encyclopedia : H : HY : HYA : Hyaena (album)

Hyæna is the sixth studio album by Siouxsie & the Banshees. Released by Polydor Records in the UK in 1984, this was the first Banshees album to receive a proper release in the United States, by Geffen Records (Geffen would eventually release the Banshees' entire back catalog). "Dear Prudence" became the band's biggest hit in the UK, climbing into the top five. The album is often maligned, but has some moments of brilliance in the psychedelically-styled singles "Dazzle" and "Swimming Horses".
