|} IC 342 is a galaxy in the constellation Camelopardalis. It is in the Maffei Group of galaxies. It was discovered by W.F. Denning in 1895. Edwin Hubble first thought it to be in the local group, but later it was proven to be 6-10 million light years away. It is near the Galactic Equator, 10.5° away. It forms a group of galaxies with larger ones called the Maffei 1 group.
