IDW Publishing

IDW Publishing (a division of Idea and Design Works) is an American comic book company. The company was founded in 1999 and has been awarded the title "Publisher of the Year" for the last three years (2004, 2005, & 2006) by Diamond Comic Distributors.
Initially known for horror comics such as 30 Days of Night , Dark Days and numerous others, such as Popbot due to their close ongoing relationships with notable comic creators Ashley Wood, Ben Templesmith and Steve Niles, now IDW specialize more in comics based on current TV franchises such as 24, Angel and the numerous shows. Most recently, they have acquired the Transformers license from Dreamwave and have hired fan-favorites such as Simon Furman, Don Figueroa and EJ Su to work on them.
