IT Europa is a magazine published 20 times a year reporting on the European IT market. It is owned by BPL with the editorial office located in Uxbridge, Middlesex. It is a subscription-only title and is read by more than 500 high-level executives across Europe. Its subscriber base boasts readers from all the major US and European IT companies, such as Atos Origin, Capgemini, HP, IBM, Oracle and Sun Microsystems.

History

IT Europa was formed by the merger of software and services-focused publication Enterprise Europa and assembly and distribution newsletter IT Europa in January 2004, when both magazines were published in Colchester, Essex. The company relocated to Uxbridge in November 2004 to link up with BPL's other publications including Channel Business and Comms Dealer.

Today

The 36-page magazine is edited by Andrew Seymour and has been since February 2004. Before that, he was the deputy editor after starting as a journalist at the pre-merged IT Europa in September 2001. Seymour is responsible for the complete direction and content of the magazine, with particular focus on the volume side of the European IT channel.

Joe Warner, who has been at the magazine since February 2004, is the current deputy editor of title and has been since February 2005. His main focus is the European enterprise software and services market.

The magazine has two graduate business journalists who are Leo King, who started in May 2005, and Alex Scroxton, who started in July of that year. Both journalists cover all areas of the market ranging from hardware to services to software, although King has an accomplished understanding of the retail and reseller markets, while Scroxton specialises in security and networking.

In March 2006 the magazine welcomed back former deputy editor Douglas Woodburn, who has joined the four-strong editorial team to deliver dedicated online news content to the European market.

Reports

In addition to its 20 times a year magazine, IT Europa also publishes a series of database reports featuring all the major companies in the European IT market. Under the leadership of research manager, Christine Bardwell, the research team most recently published ISVs in Europe, the Top 1500.
